“Presentation critiques and feedback were a great help. It showed strengths I didn’t know I had and how to improve upon weaknesses. I’ve gained more confidence in my abilities. Myers-Briggs analysis helped me better understand myself and others and how to work better in a team.”

“I really enjoyed experiencing the atmosphere of being in a team of professionals. It was most challenging to me because I had to be able to defend my ideas and create a cohesive starting point for a project. I really enjoyed being a part of this! I hope that I can come back in the future. LOVE the changes to the website, by the way.”

“The final project was the most beneficial in helping me figure out where I would like to go in the design world. After completion of the Portland Interactive Aquarium presentation I have figured out that I would like to go into some sort of sustainable “green” design field, as well as incorporate interactive design, and selling my “ideas” more than my skills as a two dimensional graphic designer.”

“Service at the Lodge was great! And the lectures and critiques over how we preformed were most beneficial. The final lecture on finding internships and jobs was most helpful.”

“I enjoyed the fact that due to the small size of the workshops the Smart Center offered unique, custom experiences for each of the individuals. Unique in that the lessons learned at Smart Center are not provided in other educational experiences that I have had. I feel that this was the most beneficial part of my experience. What the professors at the Smart Center did was answer how the theories and methodologies actually worked in the business world and the total experience was an awakening to the realization of my role as a creative individual in the business world.”
